Alloy EMF (Ecore) metamodel
Hi everyone,

My name is Juan Cadavid and I'm a PhD student at the Triskell research group at INRIA, Rennes, France. My team has developed a tool called Cartier which makes use of Alloy in the domain of MDE (model-driven engineering). As it was required, an EMF-based (Ecore) metamodel of Alloy was built based on the language grammar.

In the past, I've seen in this forum the request for an Ecore version of the Alloy metamodel, for enabling its use with EMF based tools for model transformation and so on, so I'd like to post a link in case you want to take advantage of it.

Hi Juan,

I need to build the metamodel of Alloy on ATL transformation language.

Do you have any resources regards this topic that will help me?

Hi Amal,

You can only write transformations using ATL.
However, you can you the EMF2KM3 transformer to transform the Alloy metamodel to KM3 text format.
In any case, you can write any transformation on an Alloy model (conforming to the provided Alloy.ecore) using ATL.
