Hi: Please provide the exact steps you are doing
since your report is too vague to be useful.

I just tried loading 1 Alloy model, click Metamodel (and it's shown correctly),
then load a second Alloy model to a second tab, click Metamodel (and it's shown correctly),
then go back to the first tab, click Metamodel (and it's shown correctly),
then modify one line of the first model, click Metamodel (and it's still shown correctly).

So you need to describe in exact detail what you mean by "refresh to the newer model".
Also, what version of Alloy Analyzer are you running?
Also, does it only happen with a specific Alloy model or are you having this "metamodel refresh problem"
with all Alloy models on your computer? (And if it's just a specific Alloy model, please post it)

Felix, thank you for your prompt response. I am new to Alloy, and what I did is select "Show" button on the graphical user interface, and assumed that it will reflect the current status of the model, but was always showing the previous status. However, when I go to Execute->Show-Metamodel it does refresh.

It might be a good idea to have the show button to reflect the updated status as well!!

The "show" button shows the last solving, to apply changes in code to the visualization, hit execute again.
It's useful if you're making changes on the model, cause you just found an instance that shouldn't be possible, for example. If it updated, the previous instance would be lost (not really lost, cause it's still in the log, but you can only enumerate (hit 'next' in the visualization window) on the last generated instance. )
